The last day came just as fast as the first, and we were all sad that the trip was coming to an end. Even though nobody wanted to leave, we had already started talking about planning another trip together for the following year or possibly during Christmas break. Knowing that we would all hopefully get to experience something like this again made leaving a little easier. On our final day at the chalet, we mostly ate whatever food was left over in the house. We made quick and easy meals such as Kraft Dinner, pizza pockets, bagels, and other snacks that could be cooked in only a few minutes. Even though the meals were simple, we still enjoyed sitting together and making the most of our last few hours as a group. Throughout the day we spent time playing games, cards, watching a movie, and playing video games together. Everyone was trying to enjoy every last moment before it was time to leave. Around 5 p.m., we began cleaning up the chalet before heading home. We made all the beds, cleaned the surfaces we had used, started the dishwasher, and even mopped and vacuumed the floors to make sure everything was left clean and organized. Cleaning took quite a while because there was a lot to do after spending several days there together. After throwing away three bags of garbage, loading the dishwasher, and packing up all of our belongings, we finally got back into the car to begin the long road trip home. On the way back, we stopped at McDonald's for one final meal together before everyone was dropped off at their homes. Once we got home, we unpacked our bags and were finally able to relax and sleep in our own beds again. Overall, the trip was very memorable for all of us, and even now we still talk about funny moments and stories from those days together.
